Dear members , welcome to the new season, as ever few bothered to attend working parties but the committee and the few dedicated members have done a stirling job keeping the lake in tip top condition.
There is an omission in the match fixture list this year The Bent Pin. This match has been left out this season due to Weavers being unsuitable due to lack of bank space & the Island Pond undergoing refurbishment along the carpark bank. This event will be held again next season.
Please be aware of the rules which have been posted with your new membership card.
NO CARD NO FISHING
This includes match fishing on home waters unless members of opposing teams.
Please make sure you hold a current EA Rod Licence, available from Post Offices, online or by phone.
The committee are still working hard to find suitable ground to buy or new waters to lease. We have also been in talks with other local clubs trying to build bonds & share resources. Watch this space for further info.
In the near future a picnic bench supplied by the club will be placed on the high ground on the far bank of the New Lake, this will be in memory of the late Ray Fisher.
Another bench will be place by Weavers in memory of a past member. This will be supplied by the family & fitted by the club.
